Where Your Glo Lives. Respectfully
GloVerse is a community built around beauty, confidence, creativity, entrepreneurship and opportunity. Our community brings together consumers, independent beauty and glam professionals, businesses, creators and partners from different backgrounds, cultures, identities and experiences. Every person who participates in GloVerse contributes to the experience of everyone else.
These Community Guidelines establish the standards we expect across the GloVerse app, website, marketplace, communications, content, reviews, events and broader community.
By participating in GloVerse, you agree to treat people with respect, represent yourself truthfully, conduct business professionally, protect the safety and privacy of others, and contribute positively to the community we are building together. Bring your talent. Bring your personality. Bring your Glo. And respect everybody else's.
1. RESPECT COMES FIRST
GloVerse should be a place where people feel comfortable discovering services, expressing themselves, building businesses and connecting with others. Every member of the community is expected to communicate and behave respectfully. GloVerse does not tolerate harassment, bullying, threats, intimidation, stalking, unwanted sexual behavior, abusive communication, humiliation or targeted mistreatment. Differences in style, appearance, experience, background or opinion never justify disrespectful behavior. The standard is simple: treat people like humans.
2. BEAUTY BELONGS TO EVERYONE
Beauty is personal, cultural and deeply individual. GloVerse welcomes people across different:
- Skin tones and complexions
- Hair textures and types
- Body types and sizes
- Ages, subject to platform eligibility requirements
- Genders and gender expressions
- Cultural backgrounds
- Disabilities and accessibility needs
- Personal styles
- Beauty preferences
- Levels of beauty knowledge and experience
Discrimination, degrading commentary, exclusionary conduct or refusal of service based on protected characteristics is prohibited where applicable by law and inconsistent with the GloVerse community. Professionals should accurately communicate the services, techniques and areas of expertise they are qualified to provide.
3. CULTURAL FLUENCY MATTERS
One of the foundational principles of GloVerse is helping people find professionals who understand their specific beauty needs. Professionals are encouraged to identify legitimate areas of expertise, including textured hair, natural hair, protective styles, locs, melanin-rich skin, cultural bridal traditions and specialized techniques. Expertise should be represented accurately. Cultural knowledge is an asset. Cultural identity should never be exploited, mocked, stereotyped or misrepresented.
4. BE WHO YOU SAY YOU ARE
Trust begins with identity. Information provided to GloVerse should be truthful, current and accurate. Users must not:
- Impersonate another person
- Create intentionally deceptive identities
- Use another person's credentials
- Falsify professional experience
- Upload fraudulent identification
- Misrepresent licensing or certification
- Fabricate portfolio work
- Falsify reviews
- Misrepresent business ownership
- Misrepresent location or availability
- Create accounts intended to deceive other members
Where GloVerse requires identity or professional verification, members must cooperate with the applicable verification process.
5. GLO PROS: REPRESENT YOUR EXPERTISE ACCURATELY
Your GloID is your professional identity within the GloVerse ecosystem. GloPros should accurately represent:
- Services offered
- Professional experience
- Qualifications
- Licenses
- Certifications
- Insurance, where applicable
- Portfolio work
- Pricing
- Availability
- Service areas
- Travel radius
- Products and techniques used
- Business affiliations
- Team size
- Capacity
- Specialized expertise
Professionals should only advertise or perform services they are qualified and legally permitted to provide. Licenses and certifications should remain current wherever they are required.
6. YOUR PORTFOLIO SHOULD BE YOUR WORK
Professional portfolios are fundamental to marketplace trust. Glo Pros should upload work they created or have appropriate permission to use.
Do not:
- Present another professional's work as your own
- Use misleading before-and-after imagery
- Materially alter results in ways that misrepresent the service
- Use copyrighted photography without authorization
- Upload client imagery without appropriate permission
- Misrepresent AI-generated imagery as examples of services actually performed
Inspirational imagery should be clearly distinguished from portfolio work where permitted.
7. PROFESSIONALISM IS PART OF YOUR GLO
GloVerse is designed to help beauty professionals build stronger businesses. Professional conduct matters.
Glo Pros are expected to:
- Communicate clearly
- Arrive on time
- Maintain accurate availability
- Honor confirmed bookings
- Communicate delays promptly
- Maintain appropriate hygiene and sanitation
- Provide the service agreed upon
- Communicate material pricing changes before performing additional services
- Respect client boundaries
- Maintain appropriate professional behavior
- Follow applicable health, safety and licensing requirements
- Respect homes, hotels, workplaces and venues
- Address disputes professionally
Repeated no-shows, chronic cancellations, serious complaints or patterns of unprofessional behavior may affect marketplace participation.
8. CLIENTS HAVE RESPONSIBILITIES TOO
A trusted marketplace works both ways. Consumers are expected to:
- Provide accurate booking information
- Be available at the agreed time
- Provide accurate service locations
- Communicate relevant service requirements
- Treat professionals respectfully
- Provide a reasonably safe environment for mobile services
- Respect professional boundaries
- Pay agreed charges
- Follow cancellation policies
- Avoid abusive or threatening behavior
- Respect the professional's time, equipment and property
Glo Pros deserve the same respect expected by consumers.
9. CLEAR PRICING. CLEAR EXPECTATIONS.
Professionals should communicate prices and service expectations transparently. Listings should accurately describe what is included in the advertised service.
Where applicable, clearly disclose:
- Base service price
- Deposits
- Travel fees
- Add-ons
- Hair or product costs
- Removal fees
- Length or density surcharges
- Group pricing
- After-hours charges
- Cancellation terms
- Late fees
- Additional time requirements
Consumers should have a reasonable understanding of what they are purchasing before a service begins.
10. KEEP TRANSACTIONS SAFE
Where GloVerse booking and payment functionality is available, members should use approved platform processes.
Members must not engage in:
- Payment fraud
- Stolen payment methods
- Chargeback abuse
- Fraudulent refund claims
- Money laundering
- Manipulation of platform incentives
- Unauthorized financial transactions
- Deliberate circumvention of applicable platform fees where prohibited by the Terms
Suspicious activity may be reviewed and accounts may be restricted while concerns are investigated.
11. MOBILE GLAM REQUIRES MUTUAL RESPONSIBILITY
GloVerse is designed to support beauty services wherever life happens—including homes, hotels, workplaces, venues, studios and events. Mobile services require additional consideration from everyone involved. Consumers should provide an accurate service location and a reasonably safe environment. Professionals should verify booking details, maintain appropriate boundaries and use reasonable judgment when entering unfamiliar environments. Neither party should pressure the other to remain in an environment where they reasonably feel unsafe. Safety always comes before the appointment.
12. ZERO TOLERANCE FOR SEXUAL MISCONDUCT
Beauty and personal-care services can involve close physical proximity. Professional boundaries are essential. Sexual harassment, unwanted sexual contact, sexual coercion, indecent exposure, sexually threatening behavior or using GloVerse to solicit sexual services is prohibited. GloVerse services must never be used as a pretext for sexual activity or exploitation. Serious allegations may result in immediate account restriction while they are reviewed.
13. NO VIOLENCE, THREATS OR DANGEROUS BEHAVIOR
GloVerse prohibits credible threats, physical violence, intimidation and conduct that creates an unreasonable risk of harm. This applies online and during interactions originating through GloVerse. Emergency situations requiring immediate assistance should be directed to the appropriate local emergency services first; platform reporting can follow when safe to do so.
14. PROTECT PERSONAL INFORMATION
Respect the privacy of everyone you encounter through GloVerse.
Do not publicly share another person's:
- Home address
- Hotel room
- Phone number
- Government identification
- Payment information
- Private messages
- Precise location
- Personal photographs
- Booking information
- Other confidential information
Professionals working with public figures, artists, executives or other high-profile individuals should also respect confidentiality regarding locations, schedules and private interactions.
Access to someone through your work does not create permission to share their private life.
15. RESPECT CONTENT & CONSENT
Photos and videos are an important part of beauty culture, but consent matters. Before publicly sharing identifiable client content, professionals should obtain appropriate permission.
This is particularly important for:
- Before-and-after images
- Behind-the-scenes footage
- Children or teenagers
- Private residences
- Hotel locations
- Weddings
- Celebrities and public figures
- Unreleased productions
- Commercial shoots
A service appointment does not automatically grant unrestricted commercial rights to someone's likeness.
16. REVIEWS SHOULD HELP THE COMMUNITY
Reviews exist to create trust and help people make informed decisions. Reviews should reflect genuine experiences and remain relevant to the service received.
Do not:
- Purchase reviews
- Trade incentives for misleading positive reviews
- Create fake accounts to leave reviews
- Coordinate attacks against another member
- Threaten someone with a negative review
- Use reviews for extortion
- Reveal private information
- Make knowingly false allegations
Professionals may respond to criticism professionally but should never harass reviewers.
17. KEEP COMMUNICATION APPROPRIATE
GloVerse communication tools should support legitimate marketplace activity and community participation.
Do not use GloVerse for:
- Spam
- Repeated unwanted solicitation
- Harassment
- Threats
- Scams
- Phishing
- Sexual solicitation
- Unrelated commercial promotions
- Malicious links
- Fraudulent opportunities
- Recruitment into unlawful activities
Business development is encouraged. Exploitation is not.
18. PROTECT THE COMMUNITY FROM SCAMS
Never use GloVerse to deceive another person for financial or personal gain.
Examples include:
- Fake beauty services
- Fake providers
- Fake bookings
- False job opportunities
- Counterfeit credentials
- Payment scams
- Phishing
- Identity theft
- Fake brand partnerships
- Fraudulent giveaways
- Pyramid or deceptive recruitment schemes
- Requests for unnecessary sensitive information
If something feels suspicious, report it.
19. KEEP SERVICES SAFE & SANITARY
GloPros are responsible for complying with applicable professional, health, sanitation and safety requirements.
Depending on the service, this may include appropriate:
- Tool sanitation
- Hand hygiene
- Single-use products
- Equipment maintenance
- Product storage
- Allergy awareness
- Patch testing
- Infection-control practices
- Licensing
- Disposal procedures
- Workspace cleanliness
Providers should communicate relevant contraindications or service limitations within the scope of their professional responsibilities.
20. REGULATED SERVICES REQUIRE APPROPRIATE CREDENTIALS
Certain beauty and personal-care services may be regulated differently across states and jurisdictions. Where applicable, professionals are responsible for maintaining required licenses, certifications, supervision, insurance and legal authorization. GloVerse may require additional verification for higher-risk or regulated service categories and may limit the availability of particular categories by jurisdiction.
21. PROTECT MINORS
Children and teenagers require heightened safeguards. Age eligibility, account access, bookings, parental or guardian consent, communications, imagery and provider interactions should follow GloVerse's applicable policies and relevant law. Members must never exploit, sexualize, groom, harass or otherwise endanger a minor. Suspected child exploitation or serious safety concerns may be escalated to appropriate authorities where legally required.
22. NO HATE OR DEHUMANIZING CONTENT
GloVerse is built around individuality and self-expression. Content or behavior that attacks, dehumanizes, threatens or promotes hatred against people based on protected characteristics has no place in the community. This standard applies to profiles, portfolios, messages, reviews, usernames, imagery and offline conduct connected to the marketplace.
23. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY MATTERS
Creativity powers the beauty industry. Respect it. Members should only upload or distribute content they own, have permission to use, or otherwise have the legal right to share.
This includes:
- Photography
- Videos
- Music
- Logos
- Artwork
- Portfolio imagery
- Written content
- Brand assets
- Training materials
GloVerse may establish processes for reporting alleged intellectual-property infringement.
24. AI & DIGITALLY ALTERED CONTENT
As creative technology evolves, transparency becomes increasingly important.
AI-generated or materially altered content should never be used to deceptively represent:
- Actual client results
- Professional qualifications
- Real portfolio work
- Identity
- Reviews
- Credentials
- Services performed
Creative AI content may have a place within GloVerse where permitted, but authenticity should remain clear.
25. COMMUNITY EVENTS & GLOVERSE EXPERIENCES
These standards extend beyond the app. Participants at GloVerse Live, pop-ups, community events, brand activations and other GloVerse experiences are expected to follow the same standards of respect, safety and appropriate conduct. Event-specific terms may also apply.
26. REPORTING A CONCERN
Community members should be able to easily report:
- Safety concerns
- Harassment
- Discrimination
- Fraud
- Fake profiles
- Misrepresented credentials
- Inappropriate content
- Payment issues
- Intellectual-property concerns
- Privacy violations
- Sexual misconduct
- Threats
- Underage safety concerns
- Other violations
Reports should be reviewed according to their nature and severity.
27. WHAT HAPPENS AFTER A REPORT?
GloVerse may review relevant account information, communications, transaction records, verification data and other information permitted under its policies and applicable law.
Depending on the circumstances, action may include:
- Education or warning
- Content removal
- Request for additional information
- Re-verification
- Temporary feature restriction
- Temporary account suspension
- Removal from marketplace visibility
- Cancellation of marketplace privileges
- Permanent account removal
- Escalation to payment or technology partners
- Cooperation with lawful governmental requests or authorities where required
Serious safety concerns may warrant immediate interim restrictions while a review is conducted.
28. GLOVERSE CAN PROTECT THE MARKETPLACE
Trust is an ongoing responsibility. GloVerse should reserve appropriate rights under its Terms & Conditions to investigate potential violations and take proportionate action necessary to protect users, professionals, the platform and broader community. Marketplace access is contingent upon continued compliance with applicable policies.
29. GUIDELINES WILL EVOLVE WITH GLOVERSE
GloVerse is building a new kind of beauty marketplace, and the community will evolve alongside the technology.
These guidelines may evolve as:
- New services launch
- Booking functionality expands
- New cities activate
- New safety tools are introduced
- Regulations change
- New technologies emerge
- Community feedback identifies new needs
Meaningful updates should be communicated through appropriate GloVerse channels.
